Seagate is a proposed 35,000-acre mixed use community within the City of Weifang, Shangdong Province, China. The project consists of coastal property along the Bohai Sea, the largest inner sea in China. The property is bordered by two major rivers. A significant amount of infrastructure has been completed, such as the anti-tide seawall (approximately 20 linear miles) to protect inland development. Adjoining the project is a new operating national first-class open port facility.
The long term development program includes a variety of residences, commercial, office, and entertainment facilities, an education campus, and recreational elements. Seagate is envisioned as a world-class destination for entertainment, and a new town community incorporating the latest in “green” technology.
The highlight of the project is a themed entertainment district with attractions, branding, retail and intellectual properties. Also proposed are golf courses, multiple harbors and marinas, and a wide variety of residential housing products, from waterfront homes with boat slips, to eight 68-story high-rise iconic towers located throughout the project.
